Rain Couldn't Stop Kanhan's Outrage: City Echoes with Slogans Against Paper Leak, Demanding Education Minister's Resignation & Supporting Sonam Wangchuk
A massive foot-march was taken out from Shaheed Chowk through Gandhi Chowk to Ambedkar Chowk; a memorandum addressed to the President was submitted to the Naib Tehsildar.

Continuous heavy rain could not shake the high spirits of Kanhan residents. On Monday, students, social workers and common citizens marched from Shaheed Chowk (Tarsa Road) with placards, tricolour flags and banners — protesting paper leaks, demanding the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, and expressing solidarity with Ladakh's social activist Sonam Wangchuk.
Undeterred by Heavy Rain
As the march began, the rain intensified, but protestors kept moving forward. When the caravan reached the highway, the atmosphere resounded with slogans of patriotism and public anger. Passers-by stopped their vehicles to record videos of this historic foot-march.
Garlanding & Memorandum
The march moved through the city and reached Gandhi Chowk, where students and citizens garlanded the statue of Mahatma Gandhi and reiterated their demands. It then proceeded to Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Chowk, where slogans were raised with a pledge to safeguard the Constitution and democracy. On this occasion, Chandrashekhar Bhimte, President of 'Republican Bhimshakti Maharashtra Pradesh', handed over a memorandum addressed to Hon'ble President Smt. Droupadi Murmu to Naib Tehsildar Deepak Kubhre and Kanhan Police Station PI Vaijayanti Mandwadhare. The memorandum expressed concern over the current situation in the country and demanded imposition of President's Rule.

Drenched in rain, the people of Kanhan registered their protest with discipline, unity and in a democratic manner. The foot-march drew wide appreciation from local residents.
