Discussion on Project-Affected People's Problems: MP Maya Iwnate Visits Singori & Saholi Villages
Parshivni (Rep.): During the inspection tour of Singori & Saholi villages in Parshivni tehsil, a key meeting was held on 10 July at Hanuman Mandir. Rajya Sabha MP Maya Iwnate, along with BJP Nagpur Rural Vice President Udaysingh Yadav and BJP District Mahila Aghadi President Priti Manmode, listened to villagers' issues and demanded jobs along with compensation for irrigated & unirrigated (Korddwaho) land.
Villagers raised multiple concerns before the MP — farmers of Western Coalfields Limited project-affected areas demanded jobs, timely settlement of over 10 years of pending recruitment cases, and rehabilitation of Saholi village. Local unemployed youth also demanded employment opportunities. Singori Khan Manager Sunil Kapkar faced protests from villagers for not giving priority to locals in jobs.
